Synova Closes Fund II At £110m Hard Cap

August 2013

Synova Capital ( Synova ) is pleased to announce that it has successfully closed Synova Capital Fund II ( Synova II ) at its hard cap of £110m. The fund-raising was significantly oversubscribed and was raised in less than three months from both existing and new Limited Partners. Synova II has a globally diversified investor base with Limited Partners committing to the fund from the UK, Europe and the US. Endowments, fund of funds, family offices, pension funds and insurance companies are all represented.

Synova II will continue the strategy of its predecessor fund, investing in smaller UK growth companies with enterprise values between £5m and £30m.

Philip Shapiro and David Menton, Synova’s Managing Partners, commented:

"We are very pleased to have completed this fundraising in less than three months and, in particular, that the fund was significantly over-subscribed. The new fund will continue our successful strategy of investing in smaller UK companies with significant opportunities for earnings growth and value creation."
